Sisters

I am one of those sentimental fools. A soul driven by sentiment. One of those folks that takes every moment for a memory and tucks it away somewhere...who goes to bed thinking about how lucky I am to have great people near me...who cries at romantic comedies and loves happy endings. Do you know the type? Overall, it is a blessing, although at times I wish I were much more thick skinned about some things. It would make life easier, but that might cause me to miss out on the true feelings that really count, so I accept me as I am and work with it.
Lately, my two sisters and I have had some opportunities to hang out together-just us. Not the combined kids we have (7 boys and 1 girl under the age of 9) or husbands or families, just the three of us. And it has really been fabulous. Growing up only a year apart, we were not only close in age, but in spirit as well, and thankfully, it has continued and strengthened through the years. We have a great kinship.

This picture was taken on a day when we had the entire extended family together for pictures and shot about 475 in a two hour period. I am quite sure we had about every combination of people possible! And even though it was a little chaotic, it is a great memory for me, and this is my favorite pic of the day.
I am truly blessed to have sisters, two people I am just crazy about- we laugh and cry together, share memories, recipes, and child psychology, shop and exercise together. I can call them at any moment and know I will be listened to, loved and supported. There is no better feeling. So, to my sisters-thanks to you! God made us sisters, hearts made us friends. Thanks for the constant love I feel from you every day. I love you both!
Thanks for visiting!
Cheers!
