Kerry & Matthew

The weather and lighting Sunday evening was surreal. Warm and buttery evening light with trees at their peak-a photographer's dream. Great company, gorgeous people, and beautiful countryside make for great photos...we had it all. You could say we were "livin' the dream!" If only for an evening.

Kerry and Matthew were loads of fun. They played off of each other well and had great body language, so getting them into a shot was super easy. It didn't take me long to learn it was nearly impossible to get a bad photo of either of them. Like, really hard. I tried a few times to catch them with an unflattering look...just for kicks, (I like a challenge) but it didn't really work. This was about it:

and he was just playing around, so it didn't really count.

After a brief questioning and a little encouraging, I did get Matthew to admit that chicks comment on this lovely, long, curly eyelashes! (I notice these things.) Does that make him the total package, or what?! :) (Note: While not considered "manly" by the dudes, chicks do dig them!)

My California friend would call these shots of Kerry "fierce." I say, "Rock it out, Sista!" Kerry really knows how to work the camera with very little effort. She laughed out loud when I asked her if people stop her on the street! The fabulous thing is, she is as sweet and she is gorgeous!

Kerry really liked the shot above-she does look really in the moment. Confident and a little bit sassy!

But I love this next shot. His hands. Her leg. The sun. Sigh.

Aren't they just darling together?! The light was crazy beautiful and we used every moment of it. You know how sometimes you just can't stop your self to say when enough is enough? There were just so many great spots to jump out and capture!

The sun was nearly down, but really set off the trees in the background. It's a good thing it got dark and they close the gates at sunset, or I might have dragged them around the countryside for a while longer!

I saved this shot for last, because it really says a lot about how Kerry and Matthew are. Super fun happy. Great, loving folks hanging on to each other through life. I look forward to photographing their wedding next summer.
