It started with the bride letting me know that the groom said at rehearsal he was 85% sure he would show up to the wedding-only to be followed up with a quip from his dad saying, "Hey, that's up!" It was an indication of how the day would go.
It was followed by the groomsmen answering with names when asked during formals, only to have the group erupt in laughter when I used those names, which were, in fact, NOT their names. (Also, two of the bridesmaids were named Bradley and Bradley Jr.)
I can see how humor plays a large role in the lives of the bride and groom. On lots of days, humor can save a lot, so I am happy for them.
On to the wedding details...
Her dress took my breath away. I thought it was just dreamy. The light played off the tucks in the material so well. It has to be one of my all time favorites.
Let me preface the next several shots by saying I just purchased a macro lens and got a little carried away. Well, a lot carried away. But when you get something new, you just HAVE to use it lots, right? I thought my lens proved its worth.
Miss Amy looked simply gorgeous on her big day. She knows I am really taken by her blue eyes and she really knows how to work them. It would be impossible to get a bad shot of her! (Now imagine her blue eyes darting off to the right towards the parking lot to see the arrival of the bridal party transportation- a stretch limo....pick up truck!!! No, I am not kidding.)
After the rain, we went outside into the steamy summer day for a few shots-we didn't want to melt the bride! They have great body language for pictures and went along with everything so well.
LOVE this shot. Probably my favorite of the day.
After the guests were excused, I grabbed the bouquet and asked for this shot. I love the creamy light coming in the windows and the petals on the aisle, and of course, her fabulous dress caught the light very well.
We flagged down the pick up truck limo a block from Pewter Hall for some shots in the field. The wedding party was very willing-
This next shot is typical of these two-he is just being Adam and she is giggling. She takes kidding SSOOOOO well. Lucky for her, since most everyone there was giving someone a hard time. I had to work a bit to hold my own.
Sweet, relaxed, and ... MARRIED!
This fun and talented gal Bedazzled her reception shoes! I loved it, she pulled them out of her bag and I applauded. I thought they were just darling.
Amy & Adam-I was honored to be your photographer and loved getting to know you both. It was such a pleasure spending time with you. Thanks for the smiles and laughs. May your wonderful humor keep you close at the end of the day. Your day was gorgeous and fabulous, just like the two of you. Congratulations!
Thanks for visiting!
Cheers!
