Wow...

It has been waaayy to long since the last post!
To catch up a bit-I spent 4 days in Florida recently at a workshop by Kevin Keelan, a wonderful photographer I met last year during a Mike Colon workshop in California. They are both brilliant photographers and great people. Both workshops were such a great time-it is awesome to learn new things and refuel the fire.

Kevin's workshop featured his "on the go" lighting and was just fantastic. I love soaking up new techniques, trying them out and then making them work for me. I look forward to doing this with Kevin's information as well. Here is our class looking like the paparazzi! ;)
I just love these workshops-I try to attend as often as possible...meeting other photographers from around the country and the world and hearing their stories just really inspires me.
This class of folks was really entertaining as well as talented. I roomed with Sherrlyn Borkgren, a well known photojournalist who travels the world photographing humanitarian stories in Iraq, Guatemala, Venezuela, the list goes on. It was so interesting to hear her share some of the places she had been.
There were great folks from Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Alabama, England...woah, what a list! Visiting with all of them really proved to be quite interesting. I hope to keep in touch with some to see where life takes them. I loved being surrounded by the talent and artsy feeling. It really was something. Besides Kevin, here are a few gents who were really helpful to me: Scott Piner(NC) and Scott David (FL). They were really into learning more and sharing what they knew. Here is Kevin (brown shirt)-a master in action! ;)

I hope to get back in the swing of things and share some more soon.
Thanks for visiting!
Cheers!

Hey Jenn,

The workshop was great and I enjoyed everyone's company. You and Tony were so funny. I'm still missing those moments of community together. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with off-camera lighting.
