Tim & Julie

Saturday was a gorgeous day for a wedding. A crisp, breezy morning and tons of sunshine. Great weather on a happy day for this couple getting married. The kind of weather that just makes you want to whistle or hum...just because.
Julie and Tim were certainly deserving of such a day. It was the beginning of the rest of their lives together, and they were ready. I met them only a few weeks ago, but was charmed by their ability to tell stories together and smile alot and giggle as one or the other talked. There is something comfortable about the connection they have-like you have known them longer than you really have. Their engagment story was romantic and sweet and they told it together like they had rehearsed it or something. Sigh. It was a great first meeting. Their wedding day turned out to be just as great.
The stunning princess dress:

Right after the ceremony, the bride, groom, and I stole away to Irwin Gardens for a quick stop. The place is so calming and truly breathtaking. There were several folks inside, but we were able to slip in a few places. It was great watching the visitors all look at the wedding couple.

One of my favorites of the day...

We then jumped in the car for a quick stop at Mill Race Park. It is here I must pause for a round of applause for the bride and groom. When we arrived at the park, we five stories to the top of the observation tower that stands 84 feet tall!! Woohoo! The view was absolutely AMAZING- overlooking the skyline of Columbus. And, no one was stung by the wasps!
Here are Julie and Tim looking out over the horizon. A great view for the start of their new lives.

And then- to top things off...a Harley motorcycle and a wooden bridge make for very pretty pictures! This bike was really awesome-sparkling blue with tons of chrome and detail. It was really awesome-and it was Julie's request!!! Her parents both ride and she really loves them. She really took on the part!

It was then off to the reception. It was held at the lovely Factory 12 Event Loft in Columbus, IN. Inside, the flower girl dumped out her petals to play with and had some friends join her next to this window. I could not have set it up better myself!! It was darling and the lighting was so buttery and soft.

The lovely design was by Icing on the Cake. And I can tell you first hand, it was delicious!!! ;) C'mon. It is in my job description to taste test the cake at the reception.

The first dance was to my favorite Michael Buble song, "Everything" played by the awesome DJ, El. This couple danced so well together and he sang to her as they circled the floor. So sweet. They are both musicians and play their instruments together. True harmony!

Fabulous finale dip!

One of my favorite moments of the night was right after the married couples dance, where all the couples start out and then sit back down as the DJ calls out the number of years married. At the end of the song, the couple who has been married the longest is left. The grandparents of the groom have been married 56 years. Wow. (I think to myself- I sure hope John can hold out that long with me!) After I took a picture of this longest married couple with the wedding couple, the grandma grabbed me on the arm and said, "Hey, I want to kiss him and I want you to take a picture." There you go! So I got the top shot and right after, they both turned and smiled SSSOOOO big. (See bottom pic.) How cute is THAT?!? She wasn't shy about a thing! I just thought to myself...I hope I am just like that one day!!!

Just look at that coy smile. It just made a great ending to a great day. Thanks to Julie and Tim-I really enjoyed spending the day with you guys and wish you all the best!

Thanks for visiting!
Cheers!
