The waterfall picture is most likely my favorite. It is at the base of the huge BridalVeil Falls, except it cannot be seen from the viewing platform. In July, the water begins to slow and will eventually stop, so our family climbed up lots of rocks to find this hidden falls. We hung around on the smooth, cool rocks and listened to the water pour over. A great memory, and, the composition and exposure are pretty cool too.

A view of Half Dome from the meadow.

Mariposa Grove-home of the Giant Sequoia trees was an amazing place. I cannot begin to convey the vast size of these trees. Some of the branches in the shot below where about 6 FEET in diameter. Just that branch would be considered a huge tree here in Indiana. The unmatched beauty of these two thousand year old living things left me speechless. (Hard to imagine...right?!)

I wanted a souvenir from the park and after searching, finally found a tshirt with a poem on it that touched how I feel about Yosemite Park. It might just be my mantra. It makes me smile every time. I was truly taken with Yosemite and always will be.
Lessons from a tree
Stand tall & proud,
think long term,
go out on a limb,
drink plenty of water,
remember your roots,
& enjoy the view.
This last shot shows two trees named The Faithful Couple: A rare case in which two trees grew so close together that their trunks have fused together at the base. For thousands of years. Thanks for visiting!
Cheers!
