The rest of Tahoe and YOSEMITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

View heading up the ski cable car at Squaw Valley-less than halfway up the 2000 ft. rise.
Casey works his magic upsidedown on the Eurobungee at Squaw.

My first view of Yosemite Valley-and Half Dome in the distance. My daughter took this shot! ;)
A flower on the Valley Floor.
Half Dome view from one of the meadows. Can you imagine living and working there?!
View of El Capitan from our picnic site.
During a sunrise drive, I spotted a doe with her twin fawns. They were very skiddish and quick as they darted in the meadow and across the road. So darling!
THE BEAR! From about 40yds. on my point and shoot.

Sunlight crosses the rocks on the other side of the valley.

We hiked and climbed rocks up Bridalveil Falls to find this lower falls you can't see even exists until you reach it! The top part is visible from much of the park.

We conquered the rock climb and earned a cool rest!

Mariposa Grove, on the south side of the park is home to some Giant Sequoias. The size is unimaginable. Our family attempted to surround this one- no chance.
My daughter's shot of Half Dome! Great job!
Carson aboard "Minnie" from my trusty steed- "Grizzly!!!"

Below is the Jeffrey Pine on Sentinal Dome by Ansel Adams. It died from a drought in 1979.
Here is my sunset version of what is left of that famous tree.
I was thrilled to hike to the top of Sentinal Dome on my birthday to watch the sunset over the Valley. You could see for miles in every direction-all that can be seen belongs to Yosemite National Park.
View of Half Dome from the top of Sentinal Dome just before sunset.
Me and my beloved feature, Half Dome in the background.
The family on the relic Jeffrey Pine.
The sun set in the west as we ate our dinner, and then we turned to the east, where the full moon rose over the mountians. Absolutely stunning. It occured to my husband and I that we had never watched a moonrise. It took my breath away.

It was a birthday I will always cherish-with my family, on a mountain in Yosemite, the most spectacular sunset, and a striking moonrise. I can thinking of nothing better.

My son took a snap of me on my very, very happy evening!

We took a ride on the Sugar Pine Railroad-which pulled logging cars through the mountains for many years.
In the Great Hall at the historic Ahwahnee Hotel, where we spent our last night in the park.

Last shot from Valley View as we left Yosemite National Park.
Back to San Francisco- on the Stanford campus.

These pictures are just the highlights-there are so many I love.
As a summary, on this trip:
Transportation-plane, car, bus, trolley, ferry, street cable car, raft, steamboat, bike, horse, ski cable car, steam train
Wildlife-a bear!!!!, bucks, does, squirrels, chipmunks, birds, etc.

3 sites, lots of laughs, gorgeous views and a lifetime of memories. I couldn't be happier.
Thanks for visiting!
Cheers!

Fabulous pictures of a memorable trip! Was it a special birthday? I'm only mentioning that 'cuz it was also one for me! We won't bring up numbers because they don't mean anything, right? If these are just a few of your pix, I can't wait to see the rest. Thanks for sharing! Ansel would be proud!
Love, Kathy

Viewing your pictures of San Francisco, Yosemite and Tahoe make me want to go back. That area is one of my favorite areas of the USA.

If we could view all the pictures taken of the Yosemite valley none of them can express the feeling a person feels the first time he sees the valley in person from the entrance to the valley. The vistas, the serene valleys and river and the majestic granite sculptures rising toward heaven are beyond description. None can match the artwork of God.

I am certain that your trip was a wonderful way to celebrate your birthday.
