Happy 90th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday my paternal grandmother turned 90! The party for her was just fabulous. The slideshow had lots of photos of her as she grew up, married, had kids, grandkids, and greatgrandkids. What a thing she started! She was one of 6 girls and boy, did they have a time. All the pictures showing them had them hugging, laughing, or wearing crazy hats. "That is way life should be," my great aunt Marilyn always says.
Below is a pic of me with both of my grandmas. Aren't they just lovely? I am just crazy about them. On the left is my maternal grandma-"Gram"- who is now 92 1/2, and on the right is the birthday girl- "Grandma"-who is now 90 years old!

What a blessing it is to still have both grandmothers still with me. They have seen so much in the last 90 years. They both amaze me. Growing up, I always thought that was how it was for everybody-growing up in the same town as both sets of grandparents-seeing them, dropping in to visit, spending the night with them. I did not realize how rare it is and how incredibly lucky I am!!!
They have each lived in their same houses for almost 70 years!!! In my lifetime, both sets of grandparents and my own parents have never moved. I have celebrated birthdays, Christmas parties, graduations, dinners...all of it in the same houses for my lifetime. I just thought that's how it was. Both sides of the family know each other well and they have all gotten together for Thanksgiving for the last 40 years. Family has always been so important to both sides of my family, and I wouldn't change a thing. I thank them for teaching me how deeply family lines run.
Below is Grandma with her sister-the only 2 left out of the 6 Sweazey girls. Aren't they precious? Their legacy of crazy hats, silly songs, and loving life can already be seed and heard from my own kids. I cherish all the time I have with them and love hearing them talk to each other. Wow, to be so lucky.

Happy 4th of July to everyone! Grab someone dear and give them a big hug!
Thanks for visiting!
Cheers!
