The flowers, dresses and planning was done by the wonderful Bobby of Prestigious Affairs. He did a fantastic job, as no detail was left undone. The bride's bouquet:
The historic church in Sauers was really beautiful and there were some worn hymnals nearby I used as a something old feeling to the beautiful, new rings. I love old things, the sense of connecting that comes them. Connecting to other folks, times, and places.

A girl's shoes say alot- Melissa wears heels like this all the time! I would be lucky not to break my ankles in these, but she had no trouble wearing them all day long. All day. That in itself is quite an accomplishment, but they didn't bother her a bit. They added to the elegance of her sleek, sexy gown. She really knows how to put it all together!
On that hot, sunny, June afternoon, these two made their promises to each other. He took her hands as she stood there in her amazing, silk gown and they smiled-from the inside out, never taking their eyes off of each other. With all that was going on around them, their calmness came when their eyes met. With 20 folks in the wedding party, there were lots of folks around, but these two understood what the day was about-the two of them- and it was. They made sure of that.

The kiss. The rich color in the background made for dreamy ceremony shots. The wedding party was clapping for them and it was easy to sense how happy everyone was for them.
Below, they stop again as they leave the church for another kiss. Love the backlighting!

The entire wedding party gives a "Woohoo" and can't wait to get in the air conditioned limo! It was pretty steamy by this time in the afternoon, but I didn't hear any complaints from this fabulous group.
The next few shots are just before the couple entered the outdoor reception tent. The sun had a dreamy glow and the light was just lovely. The way they interacted with each other was just precious...they were giddy, contented, happy, excited...and thrilled to be husband and wife! They had a tenderness about them that spoke of respect and love. (Sigh.) Very endearing.

She peeked back over her shoulder and I grabbed this darling shot. To me, it says, "I have my man!" One of my favs of the day.
Later in the reception I grabbed the couple for a few sunset shots. I hated to interrupt their party, but I am really happy we took the time. I think the results were some of the best of the day. Wow. These are also favs of the day.

I had such a fabulous time. The day just really flew by. To Melissa and Troy: thanks for having me to document your special day. Getting to know you in the engagement session let me know how great you are and watching the love you share as you were married made me smile. I loved hearing your friends and family toast you and talk about you. I with you all the best-always. Take care.
