Wouldn't you love to know?

Often when I am taking pictures of kids, I am wondering what is going through their minds...What is this person doing? My mom said this would be fun. When do I get my french fries. Is it time to go yet?
They usually turn out to be good sports and tolerate me during the shoot-showing a curious look or a charming smile. What great spirits kids have! I admire them for showing so freely what they think and feel. If only I could understand more of it.
I will never know for sure, but the simplicity of a cute grin or raised eyebrow from a little one is enough to keep me wondering just what they are thinking. And why can't life be as simple as they make it out to be?!
